Stacking the Shelves #43

This feature is hosted by Tynga’s Reviews

Hi guys! I took last week off because I had only gotten one book and that was a finished copy of a book I absolutely adored. But this week I got a huge box of books in the mail. All of them were purchases I made on Book Outlet’s online store. And I think I’m in love with this store. I was able to get 13 books for under a $100. That is not possible on Amazon or Barnes & Noble. So YIPEEEEE!

So my book purchases are the only new things I added to my shelf this week. Go check out what purchases I made.

I’m baaaaack!

Yes, I know I haven’t done a Stacking the Shelves post in WEEKS, but May was a very slow book month for me. This week, I got access to several different titles. Harper uploaded a ton more titles to Edelweiss this week, including my two most anticipated fall 2014 reads. So excited about these books. I also got approved for another book from Edelweiss. I got approved for 5 books from NetGalley, so YAY me.

This was the week of pre-orders!!!! I got 2 books in the mail that I had pre-ordered in March. So excited they came the day after they officially came out. I’m not usually that lucky. I picked up one Edelweiss book and one Netgalley book. Also, I was incredibly surprised to receive a package from St. Martin’s Press. I didn’t request anything, but they must have me on an author specific list or something as I got an Adult Thriller book from an author I love.

Let’s check out the books.

Hi everyone, hope this was a great week for you. My week started off great and continued to be great. I got two books in the mail. One was for an ARC tour and one was my prize from Octavia’s Twitter giveaway. I also received some swag & was approved for a few NetGalley titles. I also received an e-book for an upcoming blog tour that I am participating in. I did not purchase anything this week as I have 4 pre-orders coming at some point this month and I’m already significantly behind in my reading.

However, I did go to my favorite bookstore on Monday. I haven’t been there since before I started blogging so I was excited to see all the YA titles that they have there. I even pushed some books on people who were standing & looking at the books in the YA section. I am really not shy at all.Especially when it comes to telling people about the book that they are currently holding and it just happens to be one I loved.

Now, the books.

It was a very slow week on the blog this week as I spent a lot of time playing with my new kitten Latte. So I didn’t get a whole lot of reading done unfortunately. Hoping that the reading slump will end soon. Maybe this week’s large stack of books will help with that. We can only hope. I am definitely behind schedule which really upsets me as it is not in my Type A personality to be behind on anything.
So I decided to do something new this week. I filmed my first vlog in which I talked about all the books that I bought myself this week. It was part of my February book buy. So this video talks about 8 of the books that I bought this week. A couple of hours after I filmed this, the last two books arrived in my mailbox. I really didn’t feel like re-filming the video so the books that aren’t in the video will have a pic of the cover next to it.

Stacking The Shelves #13

Hello again everyone. This week was a very slow week thank goodness. I am still trying to get caught up on my reads but it’s proving harder than I expected. I have a cold now and for anyone else,it wouldn’t be a big deal but as I’ve got some health issues,it could be very dangerous for the cold to turn into anything else. So I am resting a lot and taking it easy. Now onto the fun stuff. I got one book from Netgalley this week and I won a book from ARCycling.

As always, please let me know if you have read either of these and what you thought of them.
Before I forget, this meme comes from Tynga’s Reviews. Don’t forget to stop by and link up your STS posts and/or vlogs.

Stacking the Shelves #4

So before you all get a glimpse of my goodies this week, I must let you know where this feature comes from. I’ve been totally negligent on that. So Stacking the Shelves comes from Tynga’s Reviews and as most of you know,it’s a way for everyone to share the book related goodies they got this week.

You may wonder why I am posting this a day early. Well that’s because I managed to get myself double booked for tomorrow. This is just a one time thing though. By next week I should be back to normal.

So here are my goodies for this week.

Received for Review
Maine Squeeze (e-galley from Netgalley)
The Road to Her (e-galley from Netgalley)
Like Falling (Surfacing #1) (e-galley)
Grievous Bodily Harm: A Toni Day Mystery (Print copy)
Portrait of a Crossroads (e-galley from Netgalley)
Sixteen Sixty-One (e-galley from Netgalley)

Playing Nice (e-book)
Replica (from Christina @ A Reader of Fictions)
Extremities: Stories of Death,Murder & Revenge ( from Christina @ A Reader of Fictions)

As much as I was hoping that this week wouldn’t be as crazy as last week I was wrong. Big time wrong. No it wasn’t a busy mailing week but definitely a busy Netgalley week. I guess Netgalley was feeling pretty generous this week. Can’t complain there.
Be sure to leave the link to your book haul in the comments. I look forward to seeing what everyone else got this week.

Stacking the Shelves #3

Just as I predicted, this week started off with an onslaught of books. I actually felt terrible for the mailman on Monday as he handed me 3 packages.Things did not improve for the poor guy as the week went on. I got at least 1 package through Friday.

The Witches of Blackmere High
Burn (Book 3 of the Breathless Trilogy) (Twitter giveaway)
All I Need (from Cuddlebuggery)
The Silver Star (from ARCycling)
Playing Nice

This was how I was feeling by Saturday afternoon as I feverishly updated this post.

I never thought I’d say this but I hope next week isn’t so book crazy.
