Book Blogger Challenge- Week 13

This feature comes from Good Books & Good Wine. Go link up your posts if you are participating in this feature.

Hi everyone, it is once again time for the weekly feature that I have been participating in for 13 weeks. This query was definitely one of the easiest & hardest that I have ever answered.

Describe One Underappreciated Book Everyone Should Read
Oooh this is a tough one as I have read and loved a lot of books this year. Some of them were book blogger favorites and some of them were gems that I discovered on my own.I am totally going to cheat on this one as I can think of two that I really enjoyed and gave high praise for and both of them went under the radar.

First…

My Life After Now by Jessica Verdi was an amazing book. It was a contemporary YA book dealing with teenage sex and the ramifications behind it. HIV & AIDS is not often discussed in fictional books which I think is a real shame.

Second…

OCD Love Story by Corey Ann Haydu was amazing. It was about a girl who is diagnosed as severe OCD. I really related a lot to the female main character as I too have OCD. Thankfully not as severe as the main character in this book.

So tell me, have you read either of these? Let me know if you have and if you enjoyed them.

Stacking the Shelves #10

Hello again everyone! First of all, happy first week of September. We are now entering my favorite time of the year. Fall is my favorite season followed by Winter. I don’t do the heat very well so I am thrilled to be leaving it behind me.

Well, let’s get to it then. This weekly meme is brought to you by Tynga’s Reviews. Don’t forget to stop by there and link up your book haul posts. Remember they can be e-books,physical books, books you got as gifts or that you won. Of course they also include books that you bought or received for review.

This week was an unusual week for me. I mega splurged and bought 7 hard copy books. All books I had been dying to read for months but was unable to afford due to grown up things. Like bills. I placed the order on August 24th and received on September 3rd. I have already gobbled up 3 of the seven books and they have all been amazing. Reviews will be posted this coming week.

I also received 2 Netgalley books. One of which I have already finished. The review is scheduled for next month as the release date is not until November. I received a hard copy of a book for review as well. I am really looking forward to reading it as I am not familiar with the Jewish culture & religion. Normally I stay away from religious books but I am trying to expand my horizons just a little bit.

I did end up winning a book (actually I must have won it awhile ago) from Epic Reads. I am SO excited that I won this book and I cannot wait to dive into it.

So here are my bookish goodies that I received. As always please let me know if you’ve read these and what you though of them.
