Hi everyone, hope this was a great week for you. My week started off great and continued to be great. I got two books in the mail. One was for an ARC tour and one was my prize from Octavia’s Twitter giveaway. I also received some swag & was approved for a few NetGalley titles. I also received an e-book for an upcoming blog tour that I am participating in. I did not purchase anything this week as I have 4 pre-orders coming at some point this month and I’m already significantly behind in my reading.

However, I did go to my favorite bookstore on Monday. I haven’t been there since before I started blogging so I was excited to see all the YA titles that they have there. I even pushed some books on people who were standing & looking at the books in the YA section. I am really not shy at all.Especially when it comes to telling people about the book that they are currently holding and it just happens to be one I loved.

Now, the books.

So I am about finished with this week. It has been a very long and stressful week. On Monday my mom & 13 year old brother were in a car accident that totaled my mom’s car. So we’ve been frantically searching for a new car. It’s stressful because we don’t want to have to keep our rental car for too long but we also don’t want to settle on a car.

I have still managed to keep the blog current which is great considering all the stress that’s been happening this past week. I also got some good books. HarperTeen uploaded a lot of new books onto Edelweiss. I was good and only downloaded 1 of them. I’m only going to allow myself one book a week. I am finally starting to get a toehold on my TBR list and I really do not want to lose control again. I got approved for another book from Edelweiss as well as a book from NetGalley. I also got an e-ARC sent to me early Saturday morning.

Oh man, thank goodness for the slow week. The last few weeks have been certifiably crazy in both my bookish life and my personal life. This week was another crazy week in my personal life so thankfully I wasn’t inundated with books.I got one NetGalley book and then Emma, who is a blogger friend of mine, sent me a 2nd book. I also received some swag that I won from a Twitter giveaway.

I know the blog content has significantly decreased in the last month or so. Most of that is related to my reading & blogging slump. Throw in some minor family crises and you’ve got a recipe for decreased blog content. Hoping to be back in full swing in the next few weeks.

Hey everyone, I hope you all had a wonderful Christmas spent with loved ones. I had a great Christmas this year. I ended up getting only one book from my wishlist this year but that’s okay.Today is actually my birthday so I’ll be celebrating with my family later on this afternoon. Hoping for more books or at least gift cards so I can go book shopping.
I did get Splintered from my grandmother and I finished it in a day. My review for that one will be posted tomorrow. My grandmother also got me a Harry Potter mug that I wanted. So YAY for a new coffee mug. The surprises kept coming when it turned out to be my mom who bought me the complete Harry Potter boxed set! Eeeeek, now those will definitely be staying IN the packaging.
There was a flash giveaway on Twitter a couple of days before Christmas and that package arrived Friday night. There was a ton of swag in there so I was really excited. I wanted to get a really cool artsy pic together to show all the swag items but that didn’t happen.
But anyway, on to the fun stuff. The goodies.
